Role Description
As an ALDI Inbound Logistics Coordinator, you focus specifically on managing inbound freight scheduling, supplier delivery dock appointments, and transport carrier coordination for our regional distribution center. You oversee inbound shipment manifests, track agricultural and manufacturing delivery trucks in transit, manage dock appointment software, and resolve receiving delays. Your work ensures that warehouse receiving teams have a balanced, predictable flow of incoming product pallets throughout the shift. This role is 100% physical and strictly requires full on-site presence inside the distribution facility office (no remote work available).
Key Responsibilities
- Schedule and manage inbound supplier delivery dock appointments using warehouse scheduling software.
- Track inbound freight shipments in transit, communicating arrival updates to warehouse receiving leads.
- Verify supplier purchase orders (PO), shipment manifests, and bill of lading (BOL) documentation.
- Resolve carrier dock detention issues, appointment re-scheduling, and delivery discrepancies promptly.
- Maintain communication with central procurement teams regarding vendor delivery performance metrics.
- Generate inbound volume reports, tracking receiving dock throughput and carrier compliance rates.
- Assist logistics managers with carrier performance evaluations and vendor compliance documentation.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age at the time of application.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required; Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Minimum 1 to 2 years of experience in inbound logistics, freight receiving coordination, or supply chain administration.
- Strong computer skills, including Excel, ERP, and dock scheduling software.
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities.
