Role Description

As an ALDI Truck Driver (CDL), you operate clean, late-model Class A tractor-trailers to deliver palleted grocery shipments directly from regional distribution hubs to local retail store docks. ALDI drivers enjoy predictable local and regional store routes, ensuring you return home to your family every day. You manage route navigation, conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, oversee pallet unloading at store receiving bays using electric pallet jacks, and return empty pallets to the distribution center. This position is 100% physical and strictly requires full on-site driving presence with zero remote work availability.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate Class A tractor-trailer combinations, transporting dry, produce, and refrigerated grocery goods to store locations.
• Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip commercial vehicle inspections, logging DOT compliance metrics digitally.
• Navigate assigned store routes efficiently, adhering to strict delivery time windows and traffic safety laws.
• Safely maneuver tractor-trailers into tight store loading bays and assist with offloading palleted freight using electric jacks.
• Monitor reefer unit temperatures continuously during transit to maintain cold-chain food safety integrity.
• Reload empty wooden pallets, returnable totes, and salvage materials for transport back to the distribution hub.
• Maintain clean, digital logbook records for hours of service (HOS) and fuel logs.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age at the time of application.
• Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL-A) with a clean motor vehicle driving record (MVR).
• Minimum of 1 to 2 years of verifiable Class A tractor-trailer driving experience required.
• Ability to pass DOT physical examination, drug screen, and background check.
• Physical capability to handle pallet offloading (lifting up to 45 lbs, pushing/pulling heavy pallet jacks).

Job Type & Schedule

• Job Type: Full-Time (100% On-Site / Home Daily).
• Schedule: Home-daily scheduling options with rotating morning, evening, weekend, and holiday dispatch times.
