Key Responsibilities
- Operate Class A commercial tractors to shuttle trailers between local storage sites and the main distribution hub.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip commercial vehicle inspections, logging DOT compliance metrics digitally.
- Execute trailer couplings, brake line connections, and safety checks for every local shuttle transfer run.
- Monitor reefer trailer temperatures and fuel levels during short-haul transit to preserve product quality.
- Maintain radio and digital communication with yard dispatchers to fulfill trailer movement priorities.
