Role Description

As an ALDI Opening Shift Manager, you assume full operational ownership of the store's early-morning opening phase. Responsible for disarming security systems, conducting safety audits, verifying cash tills, and overseeing morning freight unloading, you set the operational pace for the entire day. You lead morning stockers and cashiers, ensure fresh food departments are impeccably presented, and open doors precisely on time for shoppers. This position is 100% physical and strictly requires full on-site leadership presence at the retail store with zero work-from-home availability.

Key Responsibilities

• Disarm security systems, execute morning facility safety walks, and prepare the store for daily operations.
• Verify cash register tills, conduct register safe audits, and ensure proper point-of-sale system readiness.
• Oversee early-morning logistics delivery unloading, verifying product manifests and managing dock safety.
• Assign morning stockers to priority aisles, monitoring stocking speed, product rotation, and display quality.
• Ensure the store entrance and shopping aisles are clean, hazard-free, and fully merchandised before opening doors.
• Manage early-morning customer traffic, direct register queues, and handle initial customer inquiries.
• Co-lead store associate performance reviews and deliver ongoing operational coaching.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age at the time of application.
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required; prior supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and time-management capabilities.
• Physical capability to lift up to 45 lbs, stand, bend, and move continuously across the sales floor.
• Availability to work early morning opening shifts consistently.
• Basic math proficiency and cash drawer management experience.

Job Type & Schedule

• Job Type: Full-Time (100% On-Site).
• Schedule: Early morning opening shifts including weekends and holiday rotations as required.
