Role Description

As an ALDI Senior Truck Driver (CDL-A), you operate heavy commercial tractor-trailers handling high-priority store deliveries and mentor incoming drivers on fleet safety and store delivery procedures. Operating modern equipment, you navigate regional routes, deliver palleted grocery loads to retail docks, oversee reefer temperature controls, and return salvage freight to the regional hub. Senior drivers serve as safety anchors within the fleet, maintaining impeccable driving records and assisting transport supervisors with driver coaching. This position is 100% physical and strictly requires full on-site driving presence (zero remote capability).

Key Responsibilities

• Operate Class A commercial motor vehicles safely across assigned regional store routes.
• Perform comprehensive pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, auditing safety compliance digitally.
• Deliver palleted grocery shipments to store docks safely using electric pallet jacks.
• Monitor multi-temperature reefer trailer controls to guarantee cold-chain food safety compliance.
• Mentor newly hired commercial drivers on ALDI store delivery protocols, dock maneuvering, and safety rules.
• Maintain exact digital logbook records for hours of service (HOS) and fuel audits.
• Reload empty pallets, returnable totes, and salvage packaging for transport back to the distribution hub.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age at the time of application.
• Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL-A) with a clean motor vehicle record (MVR).
• Minimum of 3+ years of verifiable Class A commercial driving experience required.
• Pass DOT physical exam, background check, and drug screening.
• Physical capability for pallet unloading (lifting up to 45 lbs, operating electric pallet jacks).

Job Type & Schedule

• Job Type: Full-Time (100% On-Site / Home Daily).
• Schedule: Home-daily scheduling with rotating morning, afternoon, weekend, and holiday dispatch times.
